History

Commercial Lighting Systems Ltd was formed in Hampshire back in 1991 by two of its present directors, Phil Cutting and Don Falstein. Their joint passion for improving the quality and efficiency of lighting in the Commercial industry forged a company strongly committed to designing and supplying only the best luminaires to market.

Staying at the forefront of technological advancements since 1991 has enabled Commercial Lighting to deliver on that commitment for over 25 years.

Starting as a small team of young and enthusiastic lighting specialists, Commercial Lighting has developed into a family of just under thirty employees, many exceeding 20 years service with the company. Our current size allows Commercial Lighting to facilitate any scale of project while maintaining our much valued personal approach to business.

With the appointment in 2003 of Sales Director Howard Lawrence, Commercial Lighting has further developed its long-term relationships with many well known blue-chip clients, and has steadily established itself as a leading manufacturer and supplier in the UK and beyond.

Premises

Commercial Lighting is based in a 13,000sq ft premises in Swanwick, Hampshire. Located between the South Coast port towns of Southampton and Portsmouth, and immediately adjacent to the M27 motorway, we are ideally situated for both distribution and for clients wishing to visit our Head Office showroom.

Having occupied the same, albeit expanded, premises since the company’s formation, we have been able to develop strong long-term relationships with other local businesses, meaning that much of our metalwork is locally produced by trusted manufacturers.
