Having a clear brief is always useful and really helps the success of a lighting project.  This was certainly the case here, with lighting designer John Bullock approaching us to help realise his lighting design for this private residence. As well as incorporating products from our Sovereign range, the scheme also required the creation of a number of custom luminaires such as an LED pendant made from white oak wood, glass and acrylic panels. Our role was to realise this lighting scheme through the design and manufacture of these custom fittings.  

Following initial discussions, renders were produced by John Bullock for client approval, whilst Commerical Lighting’s experienced product designers developed 3D models of the custom pendants based on the initial brief. Once approved, we then began production, refining the design throughout the process to ensure these bespoke luminaires matched our high technical standards and the desired lighting effect. The white oak was supplied by Plumtree Joinery, Wiltshire.

Aside from the bespoke pendants, other products from our Sovereign range were used throughout the building, including Sovereign Slimline Surface linear systems. 

The overal lighting scheme greatly transforms the space, while the bespoke pendants provide unique architectural highlights, with both a happy client and lighting designer. More of our work can be found on John’s website.
