Project Summary
Leake Street, or “Graffiti Tunnel”, is a hidden gem of urban art situated beneath the tracks of Waterloo Station. We were delighted to work with Nulty+ Lighting on this unusual project, developing a scheme that both enhanced and celebrated the street art while improving the general quality of light in the tunnel.
Combining Meyer’s Nightspot A floodlights with Xicato’s innovative Artist Chip (with its impressive 90 CRI), we developed bespoke luminaries that really bring out the artwork’s vivid colours, and provide the highest of quality lighting. Additional features such as a secondary glass lens ensure the fittings can withstand their unusual environment, allowing the cleaning of any spray paint without affecting the luminaire.
